Hydropneumatic Tanks
Hydropneumatic tanks are ASME and non-ASME vessels that hold water and air under pressure. To provide efficient water supply, hydropneumatic tanks regulate system pressures to quickly meet system demand. The compressed air creates a cushion that can absorb or apply pressure as needed. Typical applications include booster pump, well water, sprinkler or irrigation application, or any application where a continuous flow of water is needed while regulating pump cycles. In a booster pump application, it can provide water to the system during periods of a no flow shutdown of the booster pump or it can provide water to replace leak loads. In a well water application, it can provide the desired volume of water required between the pump shut down pressure and the pump turn on pressure. In a sprinkler or irrigation pump application, the tank may provide a cushion to maintain necessary pressure so the jockey pump will not short cycle.
Bladder Hydro-Pneumatic Tanks - ASME
AAtanks ASME-code bladder and diaphragm style hydro-pneumatic tanks will be smaller in size than the plain steel hydropneumatic tank design and thus require less floor space. AAtanks designs utilize a heavy-duty butyl rubber barrier between the air and water which prevents water logging. The pre-charged hydro-pneumatic tank is virtually maintenance free.
Bladder Hydro-Pneumatic Tanks - Non-ASME
FX bladder style tanks are non-ASME code design. FX tanks will be smaller in size than the plain steel hydropneumatic tank design and thus require less floor space. The heavy-duty butyl rubber replaceable bladder is a barrier between the air and water which prevents water logging. The pre-charged hydropneumatic tank is virtually maintenance free. Sizes from 2 to 528 gallons. Standard design working pressure 150 PSI.
Plain Steel Hydro-Pneumatic Tanks
AAtanks ASME-code plain steel type hydropneumatic tanks are custom built to fit any application. The non-bladder hydropneumatic tank is typically designed to be used in conjunction with an air compressor or air feed line.
Surge Arrestor Tanks
Surge and shock arrestor tanks are ASME code pre-charged hydropneumatic tanks for commercial, industrial, municipal and well water systems, designed to effectively control water hammer shock, and pump start-up/shut-down water surge.
ASME Plain Steel Surge Arrestor Tanks
AAtanks ASME-code plain steel type surge arrestor tanks are custom built to fit any application. The non-bladder hydro-pneumatic tank is typically designed to be used in conjunction with an air compressor or air feed line.
ASME Bladder Surge Arrestor Tanks
AAtanks ASME-code bladder style surge arrestor tanks are pre-charged hydro-pneumatic tanks for commercial, industrial, municipal well water systems & fire protection systems. AAtanks designs utilize a heavy-duty butyl rubber barrier between the air and water which prevents water logging. Surge arrestor tanks are designed to effectively control water hammer shock and pump start-up / shut-down water surge. Surge arrestor tanks are designed with a larger water system connection to accept potentially harmful water surge pressures quickly with minimal pressure drop.
Air Surge Tanks
AAtanks ASME-code air surge tanks are designed to provide short bursts of compressed air for peak demand in pneumatic processes and for specific devices. AAtanks air surge tanks are rated for 200 PSI working pressures and are available in horizontal, vertical and in-line configurations.
ASME Custom and Specialty Tanks
AAtanks is an industry leader in custom design and fabrication of pressure vessels and storage tanks. Our experience includes custom vessels for water storage, water filtration, wastewater, air storage, specialty gas storage, mining equipment, chemical transport, surge vessels, autoclaves and other commercial and industrial applications. We offer support for OEM and high volume production runs as well as highly customized one time designs.
ASME Industrial Air Receiver & Vacuum Tanks
AAtanks is a leader in fabrication of carbon steel and industrial grade stainless steel pressure vessels and Air Receivers. Our air receiver / vacuum tanks are ASME code designed for commercial & industrial air storage or full vacuum service. We offer standard designs from 1 to 20,000 gallons and stock select designs up to 5,000 gallons. Most air receivers up to and including 36" diameter are rated for full vacuum.
Expansion Tanks
AAtanks offers three ASME expansion tank designs: Bladder, Diaphragm and Compression. Tanks range in size from 2 to 10,000 gallons. Most of AAtanks expansion vessels are designed using a pre-pressurized vessel with an internal bladder or diaphragm to manage fluids under pressure. Custom tanks are produced to customer specifications, for high pressures and/or special materials for severe duty applications.
Filtration
AAtanks offers two filter housing designs: Cartridge Filter and Bag Filter vessels. Filter vessels are designed to house cartridge or bag filters and offer high pressure and high flow filtration for a broad range of liquid and gas applications.
Heat Exchangers
AAtanks offers three heat exchanger designs: Plate and Frame, Brazed Plate and Shell and Tube. Flow rates range from 30-10,000 gallons per minute. Heat exchangers are manufactured to efficiently transfer heat between two fluids (gas or liquid) while keeping them separate. In typical HVAC installations, steam or hot water primary loops distribute heat from a central energy source out to secondary loops. Heat exchangers transfer heat from a system’s primary and secondary loops and can also serve as a separation device to reduce system costs. Applications include domestic water heating, radiant heating, district heating, pool heating, condensate cooling, air conditioning, snow melting, and more.
Separators
AAtanks offers 3 distinct groups of separators: Air Separators, Air & Dirt Separators and Solid Separators. Air separators are used to separate entrained air in water through forced flow patterns. Air & dirt separators are designed to eliminate entrained air and separate debris associated with start-up and maintenance of any hydronic system. Solid Separators are designed to remove entrained solids from a liquid system.
Specialty / HVAC Tanks
AAtanks specialty tanks are designed to fit the needs of HVAC systems, hot water and cold water systems, boiler systems and for many more applications. Products include buffer tanks, blowdown tanks, flash tanks, glycol makeup packages, chemical pot feeder tanks, primary and secondary headers.
Stainless Steel Tanks
AAtanks can offer any or our standard products or custom designs in 304 or 316 stainless steel. Our stainless steel capabilities include but are not limited to stainless steel vessels for water storage, corrosive gas storage, food and beverage applications, pharmaceutical applications, hyperbaric chambers, and many others.
Storage Tanks
AAtanks storage tanks are epoxy lined, cement lined or glass lined carbon steel vessels suitable for potable water storage. We offer standard designs from 60 to 3,800 gallons and stock select models.
ASME Thermal Expansion Tanks
AAtanks offers three styles of ASME thermal expansion tank designs: Bladder, Full-Flow and Diaphragm. Tanks range in size from 2 to 4,000 gallons. AAtanks thermal expansion vessels are designed using a pre-pressurized vessel with an internal bladder or diaphragm to manage fluids under pressure. Custom tanks are produced to customer specifications, for high pressures and/or special materials for severe duty applications.
